Umbra alumna Kylie Bearse, an International Journalism Festival intern while in Perugia, will be doing TV weather forecasting.
Kylie Bearse, an alumna of the Spring 2011 semester at the Umbra Institute, has accepted a new job at Local 8 News in 
Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Bearse had studied broadcast journalism and international media at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and while in Perugia continued her studies with an independent study on Italian media with professor Antonella Valoroso. Umbra has always placed a strong emphasis on internships, and the Institute's Associate Director for Academic Community Engagement, Service Learning and Internships, Anna Selberg was able to connect Bearse with the International Journalism Festival in Perugia, where she could put into practice what she had learned in the classroom
